FEBURARY 6th 2026

Silver Lake Shorts is a Los Angeles based monthly short film screening series and 501(c)3 non-profit championing Los Angeles based filmmakers, animators and comedians.

In addition to free monthly screenings, we run a fellowship program that awards grants to independent filmmakers within our community. We are also committed to the restoration and preservation of original animated film prints as well as providing regular industry updates via our newsletter.

Silver Lake Shorts is completely free to submit and free to attend. It takes place once a month, running about 90 minutes per screening, and has been an ongoing series since July 2019 at the historic venue of El Cid in Silver Lake, CA.

Be on the lookout as we continue expanding to different cities and college campuses throughout the country. Join us at our next screening!
